The parent company of Diamond Comics started in 1907
in Pakistan under the banner Bhartiya Bhandar Pustakalaya and was
re-established in India after partition in 1950 under the banner
Punjabi Pustak Bhandar.
In 1960, in the field of publication, exports, the branches under
the banner Star Publications (P) Ltd., Publications India and Hindi
Book Centre were established and in 1978 our group entered into
the field of publication of comics in India under the banner Diamond
Comics (P) Ltd., with publication in paperback, in fiction and non-fiction
under the banner Diamond Pocket Books (P) Ltd. Also in 1978 we started
with a offset printing unit under the name Best Photo Offset Printers
and publication of non-fiction monthly journal under the banner

I, Gulshan Rai, born
on November 17 1951, graduated in Physics (Hons.), knows Hindi,
English, Punjabi, Urdu and am the Editor of Diamond Comics and other
monthly periodicals published under the banner D.C. Group of Publications.
Also done the Diploma Course in Printing Technology from the renowned
Heidleberg University in 1970 and has the practical experience in
the field of printing, publishing and distribution since 1973....
