9th Traditional Folk Instruments & Art Of Bengal Exhibition

This is the 9th year of the immensely successful Exhibition on Traditional Folk Instruments & Art Of Bengal conducted by BHROMARA (An Institute of Folk Culture – a non-profitable voluntary organisation which has dedicated itself since its inception in 1962 to collect, restore and popularise the pristine art-forms of Bengal) in association with CHITRAKOOT ART GALLERY. Come, join us and get yourself familiar with the folk culture and roots of Bengal. Witness the colourful evenings to cherish the moments lifelong when Bhromara performs the various folk music forms of different states of Bengal.

The inauguration of the Exhibition will be done on 6th March at 5 p.m. by Sri Anjan Sen.

On 7th march, at 6 p.m., there will be a Folk Musical Drama “MAJHI – The Boatman” directed by Sri Shibabrata Karmakar.

On the last day, 8th March from 5 p.m., there will be a Discourse “Legend, Remembrance and safe-keeping of Folk songs” by the speakers like Pt. Anindya Banerjee, Suvrata Sinha, Goutam Ghosh. Sri Bivas Chakraborty will be the special guest and Dr. Prasanta Chattopadhyay will chair the event.

Everyday from 6 – 7 p.m. there will be Folk Songs of Bengal.
