Henry Emile Benoit Matisse, eminent French artiste had once said, “creativity takes courage”. Same is true for life as well, for it takes courage to live it with free will, where the spirit is let loose – to create and be created, to shape and be shaped, to fall and rise again, to break and be broken. But that’s exactly how life is supposed to be lived – freely and indomitably in all its vulnerabilities because only then life becomes art.
Iswar Sankalpa is back again with “Art for Relief”, a curated online art exhibition, presenting an ensemble of art works of 8 professional and amateur artists.
Iswar Sankalpa resolves to stand by the last persons on the streets as well as art and artists, because they truly believe, society will not survive if art doesn’t. In this initiative some of the internationally acclaimed painters from Kolkata have come forward to share their art works and donate 50% of their sales for the last persons on the streets. As an organization working relentlessly for the rights of the homeless persons living with psycho-social disabilities, Iswar Sankalpa has always strived for equality and no discrimination. In that backdrop, we are extremely proud to present art works of two of our recovering clients on the same platform along with the artists.
Participating artists are:
1. Asit Poddar
2. Debasis Dutta
3. Debashish Manna
4. Gunjan Chandak Khemka
5. Jayosmita De
6. Laxmi Biswas
7. Naba Kumar Chakraborty
8. Sriyanka Roy
Starting on 12th November on Iswar Sankalpa’s Facebook and Instagram Page, the exhibition will be presenting art works of these artists. Hope you would enjoy the exhibition and stand by the cause as well as art.
